NOTE: THIS IS A NEW EMAIL FOR BETH. TORCH RUN As part of the summer games festivities, the Olympic Torch is carried throughout the state by law enforcement officers and athletes. The Torch will be coming through Howard County on Wednesday May 28th. We have five athletes that will help carry the torch this year, SOHC World Games athletes Mark Worley and Steve Miller, as well as Bucky Buchanan, Marybeth Schenk and Bruce Worley. We plan to have the athletes accept the Torch from Baltimore County around 9:00 am at the county line on Route 1. If you are free that morning, come out and cheer the officers and athletes on as they run the torch through Howard County. P.S. A great place to watch is at Fox Chevrolet in Laurel where Kevin Colabucci and the entire staff at Fox come out to cheer the runners on.
